Sponsors & Volunteers Make A World of Difference

Growing Together Child Care Centre is a non-profit charitable organization operated by Growing Together Child and Parent Society. The centre receives gifts of funding, time, and talent from a number of different agencies and individuals in order to provide the exceptional child care and supports for young parent families for which it is well-known and respected.

The Province of British Columbia provides funds through the Child Care Subsidy program to support young parents (whose first child was born before age 20) with the full cost of child care, and low-income families with some of the cost of child care. Additional grants are received through the Province of British Columbia's Child Care Operating Funding (CCOF) program, Community Gaming Grant program, and other smaller grants that are requested on a one-time, occasional, or ongoing basis to assist with the costs of providing quality child care and meaningful supports to young families. These supports include a healthy meal program, Aboriginal Elder support, parent support, clothing and car seat lending library.

Volunteers also share their time and talents to enrich the lives of the young children and parents attending our program, by: picking and processing apples (for making applesauce), knitting sweaters for infants, donating books and gently-used toys, volunteering as a board member, and other valuable contributions. To discuss how you may contribute to our program, please contact us by phone (250-748-9754) or email (growing@shaw.ca). There are so many ways you can help!

We are grateful to the following agencies and individuals for their one-time, occasional, and continuous support:
